Today, the League of American Bicyclists announced 91 new Bicycle Friendly Businesses (BFB) from across the country, extending the program to 43 states and Washington, D.C. Foerstel was among these new awardees joining a trendsetting group of more than 600 local businesses, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies across the United States that are transforming the American workplace.
We’re in the company of many Boise-based businesses who received the honor, others include Balihoo, Boise Bicycle Project, Central District Health Dept., CSHQA, Dept. of Environmental Control, Drake Cooper, FLAVORS!, HDR, Healthwise, Idaho Power, Idaho Dept. of Water Resources, Kittelson & Assoc., Microsoft, NIFC, Oliver Russell, REI, Richardson & O’Leary, St. Luke’s, The Pursuit, Walton Works. Bicycle Friendly Businesses encourage a more bicycle-friendly atmosphere for employees and customers alike. BFBs attract and retain energized, alert and productive employees, while decreasing healthcare costs.
