down to the wire

Seung Mo Park, a Brooklyn-based Korean sculptor, has manipulated tightly-wrapped layers of aluminum wires to form beautifully detailed sculptures. His series, Human, will amaze you with the amount of attention to detail and meticulousness that went into making these sculptures.
Park realistically captures the folds and wrinkles of the fabric, as well as the curves and human-ness of the body. The detail of the wire designs are similar to the rings of a tree in such a way that they both represent a visual sense of time and texture. And we thought making sculptures out of Play-doh was hard.
